Child Online Protection is an area of grave concern and requires urgent attention and intervention. Children face severe cyber threats online, ranging from online games, cyber-crimes, bullying, exposure to age-inappropriate sexual content, addiction to pornography, sleep deprivation and depression, to name a few.
While children’s ignorance and unmindful internet behavior makes them extremely vulnerable, adults too are ill-equipped to understand the technology and handle online distress. We are committed to making the journey of cyberspace safe for children and seek your strong support. We invite you to join the 4th National CyberPsychology Conference 2020 themed CHILD ONLINE PROTECTION joint initiative of the Ahaan Foundation and Cyber Peace Foundation.
For the past three years, through our national conferences on CyberPsychology, we have mobilized discussions on cyber threats, crimes and safety by providing a platform for educators to hear from and interact with stalwarts from cybersecurity, law enforcement, media houses, mental health and online game development, among others. The conferences aim to build educationists as digital guardians to safeguard children in the digital world.
Objective: To build strong support systems and a network of professionals to handle online distress across the country.
Conference format: The conference will be spread across four days with 2 one day training at Goa and Ahmedabad and its 2-day culmination in Pune.
Dates:
- Goa - Friday, January 10, 2020, one day training
- Ahmedabad - Thursday, January 16, 2020 one day training
- Pune - Thurs and Fri, Jan 23 and 24, 2020-2-day conference
